Creating bubbles
I like the composition of dissolve below but i think the animation is quite simple.
I would like to make more of the bubbles moving as i think this would create a nice piece of animation.

Dissolve New
New composition of type 'dissolve'.
i decided to play around with the composition of the type as i think it looks quite plain and i'm forgetting that this is 'design' for screen!!!

After playing around with After Effects for a while now i have found some effects that would be helpful for the the word dissolve... so far i have used photoshop to create new layers as though the word is dissolving but i think the effects work better.

Explode Animation 2
Storyboard Idea
For the 'fuse' like type i need to find or create a type which is all joined together... here are a few below.

Using Neon for the word EXPLODE, drawing over the word using pen tool so i can create joins to letters how and where i want them. The bomb needs to connect last so it is the only thing left.
Object imported into Photoshop, eroding the type layer by layer (stop motion animation) using scatter brush to erode text so it looks like the end of a fuse alight.
Eroding layer by layer.
Import into AE retaining all layers > sequence layers
The letters exploding out from the bomb at the end and the white flash are created on AE.

Explode Animation 1
Storyboard Idea
The idea for this animation came from the way in which we say the word Explode, it is broken down into two syllables 'ex' and 'plode' ..'ex' being a short sound and 'plode' a longer sounding syllable. As we read 'ex' it explodes and creates 'plode' which then gradually disintegrates.

I don't like this animation as it doesn't show the movement of exploding, I am going to storyboard some more ideas as i think 'explode' could be an interesting animation.

Flip Screenshots
Storyboard Idea
The word flip to continuously flip and duplicate until all the screen is full.
...
Does the actually flip? we cannot see it flip, we just see that it has been flipped hmmm i like the sequence but i need to show the action!
This animation shows more action than the other films and was the hardest to make in AE as it involved lining type up. working with a number of layers all at the same time. using masks and changing the colour of the type.
