todays session with lorenzo we spent constructing the nets we had been given for the Wrap It brief. the packaging nets were split into 5 groups ... I love crafting so really enjoyed the morning, it allowed us to get stuck back into some design practice work and put our designs hats back on, the majority of nets were quite easy to construct apart from the hexagon folding net which was abit tricky. from the 15 made i have chosen 5, 1 from each group which i will then narrow down to 3 final solutions!

Light
looking at the light show recreate this by placing lights into the packaging and cutting slits for the light to shine through... this could easily become too much about the crafting and not enough about the actually print.
Mask/ Reveal
the idea for this stems from fever ray's many masks and costumes that hide her true identity. i think this could work with some clever packaging that could mask and reveal something when opened.
Stock
As i am masking/ hiding and revealing i am thinking about using transparent or translucent materials such as tracing paper, acetate or coloured celophane. In industry i would have used a thicker plastic stock but i am unable to do this in the short space of time.
OR
To support the structure better i could look at using a thicker paper/ card stock instead and work on cut outs (die cutting) to reveal instead.
